Our goal is to help highly educated job-seekers with already some applicable experience to find their new career path in the cooperating companies.
Photonics Top Expert RecruitmentTraining will provide new skills and improve existing ones both for the selected trainee and their employer related to (international) business development, quality management and regulation, as well as product development and commercialisation with general understanding of industry specific needs related to photonics. The cooperation between trainee and employer is supported by Kasve Oy by means of individually signed development project and through personal and company wide sparring.
Similar training has been successfully carried out several times – over 80 % of the trainees are currently employed.
Contents of the training
Photonics Top Expert training is carried out in co-operation experienced professionals from Kasve Ltd and Photonics Finland. The content of the training is always tailored and based on the needs of employers.
- 80 working days on-the-job training (internship)
- 8 days of training provided by Kasve Oy and Photonics Finland
- 1 Development project including one-to-one sparring and company-wide sparring from Kasve Oy and Photonics Finland
The training will focus on:
1. Photonics industry specific needs: an introduction to the fundamentals, specifics and companies of the photonics industry, as well as industry-related issues.
2. International business development: market identification, market access, international trade, identification and selection of distributor networks, earning logic and pricing, contract management.
3. Quality management: quality management and regulations, quality systems, risk management, business strategy, identification of competitive advantage, business development and innovation.
4. Project management and R&D: planning and implementation development projects (e. g. product development project, commercialisation project, internal development project), resourcing, project financing.
All trainings can be carried out remotely in Finnish or in English depending on the needs and agreements of the joining partners.
Training will start at 30.8.2021. The duration is 80 working days (inc. 56 h group training + traineeship at the partner company). Training will end at 20.12.2021.

Internship and job descriptions
Chipmetrics Oy is looking for a Product Manager with knowledge of technical product documentation, supply chain and quality management and / or logistics. Success in the position requires a technical training background, good English language skills, both written and spoken, rapid learning ability and diligence. Chipmetrics is a multi-site organization where people mainly work remotely and independently. Chipmetrics Oy is looking for a Marketing Manager with knowledge of content production, online marketing channels, Google tools, Adobe Creative Cloud tools and expertise in visualizing and creating graphics. Success in the position requires an understanding of microelectronics technologies or at least a rapid learning ability. Finnadvance is looking for a Biotechnology Research Specialist to join our rapidly growing Cell culture and/or Biofabrication teams. Your key task is to assist in formulating and executing internal research activities, development of assays for OoC platforms and design, simulate and fabricate in-house developed microfluidics. Your responsibility is also to identify and implement appropriate manufacturing methods and materials for organ-on-chip devices and rapid prototyping with the R&D team, problem-solving to produce high quality data interpretation results and insightful biological interpretation and participate in the writing of manuscripts and Finnadvance’s platform datasheets. Applicants are expected to have MSc. or equivalent (biochemistry, mechanical/biomedical engineering, biotechnology or material science) and experience in the field of 3D cell biology, pharmacology, mammalian cell culture, imaging methods and biochemical experimentation and fluent English skills. We also appreciate prior work with e.g. microfluidic systems or material science, experience in fabrication processes and quality management systems, CAD experience and programming skills.
Finnadvance is looking for a Back Office Specialist to join our rapidly growing team. Your key task is to assist in project management and general documentation, participate in web-page designing and external communication in writing and participate in the writing of manuscripts and Finnadvance’s platform data sheets. Applicants are expected to have MSc. or equivalent (biochemistry, biomedical engineering, biotechnology or related field), experience in designing and writing web-pages and experience in project management. We appreciate multitasking and thorough attention to detail and excellent written communication skills in English (skills in Finnish is a plus).
Hypermemo is looking for an Embedded Software Developer to enhance the company’s industrial automation team. In your role, you are responsible for design and implementation the embedded software for the company’s solutions and products, which include electrical, microelectronic, mechanical, optical, and pneumatic components. Applicants are expected to have at least a bachelor level education in Information Technology, Electronics, Industrial Automation or related technical field, professional working experience in embedded systems development, and good English language skills. Previous experience in control engineering and PLC programming are considered as advantages. The position is office-based in Joensuu, Finland. No remote work option available.
Hypermemo is looking for a Production Plant Manager to enhance the company’s management team. In your role, you are responsible for design, implementation, uptake and further management of the industrial scale manufacturing facilities. Applicants are expected to have proven experience in managing production site operations, at least a bachelor level technical education and good English language skills. Previous experience of operation in a startup environment, launching and effectively ramping up manufacturing facilities from scratch, and knowledge of glass industry are considered as advantages. The position is based in Joensuu, Finland. No remote work option available.
Keypoint is looking for a Business Development Manager whose main responsibility will be to open new markets for our photonics solutions and laser technology. As a business development manager, you will e.g. identify new business opportunities and potential customers, generate sales leads, manage relationships with our customers and retailers and develop inner sales processes and international business strategies. For succeeding we expect you to have 3-5 years of B2B solutions sales and building international reseller network experience, fluent English speaking and writing skills (Finnish and Swedish are seen as a benefit) and academic education degree.
